Theatre Creators’ Reserve Program
Magnus Theatre has been invited by the Ontario Arts Council to participate in The Theatre Creators’ Reserve program, OAC’s third party-recommender program of grants to theatre creators. Under this program, Magnus Theatre has been given the opportunity to recommend professional Ontario theatre creators to receive grants from the OAC.The OAC approved a Theatre Creators’ Reserve allocation of $5000 for Magnus Theatre. The minimum grant recommendation is for $1000 and the maximum is for $5000.
Magnus Theatre will accept project proposals from playwrights, and creators working with other processes, from across Ontario for the OAC Theatre Creator’s Reserve.
All projects will be considered, however, Magnus will focus on project submissions from Northern Ontario.
Emerging playwrights and creators from the Aboriginal community are encouraged to apply.
Submitted proposal should include the following:
• A one page outline of the project
• A resume of related past work
• Up to two samples of previous work (maximum of 5 pages per sample if written samples are submitted).
• A reference (the name of a professional in your field of creation who is familiar with your work).
The deadline for applications is Monday, November 30, 2009. The applications will be reviewed by January 18, 2010.

• faxes to libraries and community centres throughout the region, as well as Negahneewin College, Confederation College, and Lakehead University
